Omg too adorable.
Agree with this assessment 100 percent!
he’s funny (obvious)
his character was always the underdog
his smile
his facial expressions
the tramp is a gentleman, despite his faults
he wasn’t anti Semitic and spoke out against the Nazis
he gave the best speech ever
after i found out all this i also realised that he was very handsome without his make-up… not important but a nice addition
THIS.

This is one of my favourite photos of Charlie. Off set doing Paulette Goddard’s hair (his wife and costar at the time). Even though he’s out of character, the way he’s leaning back on his heels with his derby hat cocked back is so adorable.
Grand Central Station, NYC, 1941. The light does not stream in like this anymore because the buildings around the station are too tall.
Between the 1941 nostalgia & the gorgeous architecture, this is SUCH an eyegasm.

One of the most romantic moments from one of the most romantic movies ever.
AND I CAN’T FIND THE DVD FOR SALE ANYWHERE. I’ve never wanted a movie this bad before. This is so tragic I could just die.
