Took a break from my relentless studying to sketch up the first draft of my sky whale design. This fetus of an idea was first conceived as a doodle in my Calculus notes & I just had to make it legit.
This. This is why I love fantasy shit.There’s just nothing better than creating and designing your own creature that doesn’t exit.

I meant to upload this on dA with my Spring 2011 Sketch Dump, but it escaped and crawled under a stack of papers. It’s been hiding on my desk, gambling away my art supply fund, ever since.
An example of what my watercolors, coffee, and oven roasted salt look like. This is my go-to background, my comfort zone, my painting crutch.
Ugh I ought to explore more.
